School Pictures

All students (grades 9-12) must have their pictures taken for their school I.D. and food service purposes. Students should dress appropriately. 

2024-25 Picture Schedule
Picture Day: Wednesday, September 4 - 7AM-3PM
Re-Take Picture Day: September 10 - 9AM-2PM

Pictures taken for students in grades 9, 10, & 11 will also be used for the yearbook* and picture packages. The cost depends on the package chosen. Picture packages are detailed on the VIP website. 

Re-take pictures are for students who do not like the original photo and wish to have a new one or for students who did not have them taken on the original picture day. 

SCHOOL PICTURE ORDERS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE
Parent receive an email when your images are ready to view online. Or, you can search for them at vipis.com shortly after photos are taken. You’ll be able to select your image for your yearbook (please remember to do so before it’s selected for you), and place your online order. All orders will be delivered to your home. If you need further assistance, contact VIP at support@vipis.com. 

Parents can view & purchase school photos online at any time, to include: School portrait, Activity Group & Sports photos, and Graduation photos.

Important Senior Information

Every year, students miss the deadline. Don’t let this be you this year!

  • SUBMIT EARLIER THAN THE DEADLINE.
  • Late submissions cannot be accepted.

If the student does not submit a senior portrait to the yearbook adviser, the student's school ID photo will be used in the senior section. 

  • If the student ID photo is not the preferred photo, an alternate photo can be submitted. 
  • If there is no school ID photo available and another photo is not provided, then students will not be included in the senior section.
  • Schedule photos to be taken as soon as possible so that you can be certain the photo you want will be in the senior section of the yearbook.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION: You may email photos to kswanson@sdsm.k12.wi.us, however, the submission cannot be considered successful unless the sender receives a reply email confirming receipt.

  • DIGITAL MEDIA: Electronic images may be submitted on a flash drive, but not on CD.
  • PRINTS: Photographs can be any size, glossy or matte, color or black & white, but cannot be smaller than 2 X 3.
  • The yearbook will not accept any photos that have been edited with filters, nor will we accept “selfies.”
  • Physical prints must be turned in to Mrs. Swanson in room 2206 for scanning. 
  • Label physical prints clearly with your name so they can be returned to you.

Baby pictures are optional. 

  • Clearly label all photos with student's name so they can be returned.

Senior quotes are optional. 

  • They will be accepted ONLY through a Google Form which will be made available to seniors at the end of October. 
  • The first response submitted will be the only one accepted.
  • Any inappropriate or offensive quotes will be rejected. 
  • Quotes that are only time stamps for songs, TV shows, or movies will be rejected.
  • Due to deadline constraints, you may not be notified about the rejection of your quote, so choose it wisely.
