Dance Guidelines

Dance Expectations All school policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations apply during any school dance. 

Here are a few important pieces of information to keep in mind for attendance at school dances. A full detailed list of of those policies and guidelines are included in the Student Handbook. 

  • Students, and their guests, must have a valid picture ID when entering the dance.
  • Students will not be able to attend if they have unexcused absences, poor attendance, have failing grades, or have been suspended at the time of the dance.  
  • Students must remain in designated areas.
  • Guests must be pre-registered before the day of the dance.  
  • Guests from other schools must submit a signed permission slip from an administrator from their school by the deadline established for the specific event. Students may only bring one guest. Only High School students or grads up to age 20 may attend (no Middle School students).   
  • Students must enter within 30 minutes of the starting time, and leave the building within 30 minutes of the ending time.

When dance tickets are available, they will be sold on GoFan ONLY.  Students who are bringing a guest from another school, must have the other school complete our  Guest form and turn it in to the High School Activities & Athletics Office no later than Thursday, September 26th.

NON-SM GUEST INFORMATION
Students who are bringing a non-SM guest must complete a Guest form (hard copies are available in the High School Activities and Athletics Office), and must turn in the form according to the deadline on the form. Only guests in high school through age 20 are eligible to attend.
