South Milwaukee has a rich tradition of athletics and activities that few high schools in Wisconsin can match. With 20 Team State Championships, 39 Individual State Champions, and 133 Conference Championships in 15 different sports, Rocket athletic teams have been a force to reckon with for over 75 years.
Activities like Debate, Chess, Poms Dance Team, Color Guard, Powerlifting, and DECA have been among the best groups in the state and country, winning local and state championships, and qualifying for national competitions.
There is no doubt that this history of achievement in these programs has contributed immensely to not only the students themselves, but to the community as well. Please get involved early and often! It will pay off in the future.
